Now that it's Bowl season I'm going to talk about my Southern Strategy Angle. This angle is only for College Football. I have spoken about this before and believe me it's a very profitable angle so here it goes.
Always take the team that is in the South over Northern, Midwest, Eastern and Mountain teams. By South I don't just mean the SEC I'm talking all Southern states regardless of conference. If you notice I didn't include West teams. First of all let's define West for the purpose of this angle. I define West as the West Coast states of Washington, Oregon and California. I don't include Western Mountain states like Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada etc. I don't include Texas in the South. They have their own category which I will get to.
What you will find is that the Southern schools will cover and most likely beat the schools from the other regions at least 70% of the time. I don't have any hard numbers but I have been playing this angle for years and it has always been profitable. The Southern schools do have problems with West Coast schools though so I wouldn't play it or I would go with the West Coast school.
Texas schools are different. Texas schools will beat Northern, Eastern schools regularly. They give the West Coast schools problems as well. But the Texas schools can't beat the Mountain schools for whatever reason. Mountain states have an impressive record over Texas schools. In regards to the West Coast schools I have found if the game is on the West Coast the advantage is to the West Coast school. However neutral fields and games in Texas and the advantage goes to the Texas school.
This angle is by no means perfect and there will be exceptions but it's another tool in your arsenal for winning money against the books or adding to your streaks. Like I said I have been using this angle for years during the Bowl season and I have always made a profit with this angle. Remember I'm referring to point spreads but you can certainly use this angle for SU bets as well. Good Luck this Bowl season!

The game started real early this morning at 8am Pacific Time before I posted but you can look at the current UL-Lafayette-Nevada score to know that the Southern Angle is already in full effect. Happy Hunting!

Let's recap. The Southern Angle is 3-0 so far this Bowl season.
Today's picks would be Western Kentucky (that game is being played now) and Rice.
Now if you're paying attention you will remember I posted that Texas schools are in a separate category with this angle. Texas schools are the only ones that give the West Coast schools problems on neutral fields or away from the West Coast. That's why we're going with Rice today.
Hopefully some of you guys are taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge that we have given you in this club the few months. I know for a fact that money is being made by myself and a few others. If you're winning money or having longer streaks please let us know. Also feel free to post any angles that you have whether new or old.
One of the great traditions here at the $25 Dime Club is that we are drama free of the BS that other threads experience. We keep it simple. We're all here because we like to make money and play streak games. Win or lose your thoughts are valid here and we don't have pissing contests. Keep Riding that Southern Angle to a nice payday!

We just suffered our first Southern Angle loss of the Bowl Season and there is no excuse for it. Western Kentucky up 49-14 going into the 4th Quarter allows Central Michigan to score 34 points and go for the win with a 2 point conversion. That is absolutely pathetic. I only wish Central Michigan would have actually made it and Western Kentucky lose to teach those guys a lesson. At any rate we're left holding the bag on a game that should have been a win. Incredible.

Illinois has missed 3 FG's but has moved the ball consistently. Louisiana Tech's QB has had an awful 1st half. But with all that we still have 30 points and I remain confident that this Over will come in. Let's Ride!

That was a bad beat on that Over. 4 missed FG's, missed extra point and failed 2 point conversion killed us on that Over. But at Louisiana Tech covered on the spread. Southern Angle is now 5-1.

I'm holding my nose and taking Clemson in my pool. I'm not putting money on them though. I don't have that much blind faith. I have been burned too many times by Clemson but since the spread jumped to 6 points I couldn't resist. This is why I always say there are exceptions to every angle. So I will trust them just a little bit. I hope you guys are making some money off this angle. It's definitely rocking so far.

Well, the Southern angle was in full effect on that one!
Yes it was! Even though I didn't have money on Clemson it helped keep me in the running in GED's pool! But the Southern Angle Marches with or without me brotha! That Southern Angle is no joke!
