Jets 5, Maple Leafs 4 (OT): Defenseman Dustin Byfuglien scored at 2:44 of overtime and host Winnipeg prevailed after blowing a three-goal lead.

Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little each had a goal and an assist and Mark Scheifele and defenseman Zach Bogosian scored to help the Jets improve to 5-1-0 under coach Paul Maurice. Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 24 shots and captain Andrew Ladd collected two assists for Winnipeg.

Phil Kessel has a goal and an assist, defensemen Dion Phaneuf and Tim Gleason notched goals and Troy Bodie also scored for the Maple Leafs, who dropped their second straight following a six-game winning streak. James Reimer stopped 15 of 18 shots before giving way to Jonathan Bernier, who made 12 saves.

With the Jets holding a 2-1 lead, Little and Bogosian scored 37 seconds apart in the middle session to chase Reimer in favor of Bernier. The Leafs responded immediately when Bodie buried a quick wrister 61 seconds later and Gleason beat Pavelec with a soft knuckler from the left point to cut the deficit to 4-3 with 3:16 left in the period.

Kessel completed the comeback with 1:33 in regulation, accepting a feed from James van Riemsdyk and snapping a bad-angle shot by Pavelec to send the game into overtime. Scheifele and Wheeler scored in a span of 2:24 of the opening period to give the Jets a 2-0 lead before Phaneuf got Toronto on the board at 6:13 of the second period with a straight-on blast from the point on the power play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Little boosted his team-leading point total to 44, seven shy of his career-high 51 set in 2008-09. ... Pavelec earned his second assist of the season on Wheeler's first-period power-play tally. ... Gleason's goal was his first since Dec. 18, 2011, against Florida.
