Loui Eriksson scored for the third time in four contests, Jaromir Jagr netted his 672nd career goal and Kari Lehtonen turned aside 25 shots to improve to 8-2-0 in his career versus the Blues. Rookie Antoine Roussel notched an assist to extend his point streak to three games as the Stars upped their mark to 3-1-1 in their last five contests.
David Perron scored in the first period and Brian Elliott finished with 23 saves to suffer his sixth consecutive loss (0-5-1).
Roy snapped a 1-1 tie with 1:40 remaining in the opening session after capitalizing on a turnover by T.J. Oshie before wiring a shot past Elliott. The goal was Roy's third of the season - and second in three games.
After the on-ice officials overturned an apparent tying goal by Adam Cracknell midway into the third period, Eriksson provided insurance mere moments later. Cody Eakin forced Jaden Schwartz off the puck in the corner, allowing Eriksson to skate in and wrist a shot past Elliott.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Dallas acquired Cole from Montreal on Wednesday for fellow wing Michael Ryder and a third-round pick in the 2013 draft. After scoring a career-high 35 goals in 2011-12, Cole has just four this season. ... Perron collected two goals and an assist in St. Louis' 4-3 triumph over Dallas on Jan. 26. ... Elliott was playing for the first time since yielding four goals on 23 shots in a 4-1 loss to Los Angeles.
