Recap

Jets 3, Panthers 2 (OT): Bryan Little scored on a power play 4:44 into overtime as Winnipeg came back to snap a three-game losing streak and win its third straight home game.

Blake Wheeler and defenseman Mark Stuart scored in regulation for the Jets, who avenged a 6-3 loss at Florida on Thursday. Rookie blue-liner Zach Redmond assisted on the tying and winning goals for his first two career points.

Rookie Jonathan Huberdeau opened the scoring and Tomas Fleischmann gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead early in the second period. Scott Clemmensen, making his second start of the season, made 18 saves.

After Panthers defenseman Filip Kuba was called for tripping Evander Kane at 2:50 of overtime, Redmond gained the zone and passed the puck to Little, who fired a wrist shot from the high slot past Clemmensen’s glove.

Huberdeau scored late in the first period on a rebound after Drew Shore drove the puck up ice and gained a shot in close on Ondrej Pavelec, who stopped 17 shots. Wheeler tied the game 2:28 into the second on a slap shot, while Fleischmann and Stuart scored on point shots through traffic.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Redmond was selected in the seventh round (184th overall) in 2008 and had 31 points as a rookie with the American Hockey League’s St. John’s IceCaps last season. … Huberdeau, who has three goals, has a point in each of the last three games. … Florida D Brian Campbell assisted on Fleischmann’s goal and led all skaters in ice time with over 30 minutes.
