Recap

CANUCKS 3, AVALANCHE 1
: Jannik Hansen snapped a tie with 6:29 remaining in the third period as host Vancouver improved to 13-0-2 in its last 15 meetings with Colorado.

David Booth and Alex Burrows also scored and Roberto Luongo made 29 saves for the Canucks, who have earned at least one point in 11 straight games (8-0-3).

Colorado defenseman Kyle Quincey's clearing attempt along the right-wing boards hit the linesman and bounced to Cody Hodgson, who gained control in the right faceoff circle. Hodgson passed the puck across the slot to Hansen, who one-timed it past Semyon Varlamov for his 14th goal of the season.

Burrows scored into an empty net with 64 seconds remaining as the Canucks defeated the Avalanche for the fourth time in as many meetings this campaign.

Booth gave Vancouver a 1-0 lead just 13 seconds after the opening faceoff.

Mason Raymond carried the puck down the right wing but lost it in the faceoff circle. Booth picked it up and backhanded it past Jean-Sebastien Giguere to extend his goal-scoring streak to three games.

Giguere made eight saves before giving way to Varlamov late in the first period due to a groin injury.

Defenseman Erik Johnson tied the contest midway through the second period as he converted captain Milan Hejduk's cross-slot pass. It was the second goal in as many games for Johnson, who tallied once over his first 50 contests this season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hejduk's assist was his 67th point in 76 career games against Vancouver, his highest total vs. any opponent. The Avalanche fell to 0-1-1 on their four-game road trip. They have lost four straight away from home. ... Vancouver has outscored Colorado 15-3 in the season series thus far.
