Recap
James Neal scored his 100th career NHL goal and Chris Kunitz converted in the fourth round of the shootout to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 3-2 victory over the host St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.
With the shootout tied 1-1 in the fourth round, Chris Kunitz went to his backhand and beat a sprawling Brian Elliott to give Pittsburgh its seventh straight win.
Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin and St. Louis' T.J. Oshie also scored in the shootout.
Patrik Berglund scored twice for the Blues, who are 13-0-3 in their last 16 home games.
Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was outstanding in overtime, making two acrobatic saves on David Backes and Vladimir Sobotka to deny St. Louis the win.
With the Blues trailing 2-1, Berglund was sent in on a shorthanded breakaway just over five minutes into the third period and was hooked from behind by Kris Letang. Berglund capitalized on the ensuing penalty shot to tie it 2-2 and force overtime.
Steve Sullivan also notched his ninth goal of the season for Pittsburgh.
