Recap

Mike Richards and captain Dustin Brown collected a goal and an assist apiece as the Los Angeles Kings gave coach Darryl Sutter a victory over his brother Brent in his return to Calgary with a 4-1 triumph over the Flames on Saturday.

Anze Kopitar scored for the third consecutive contest and All-Star Jonathan Quick turned aside 29 shots for the Kings, who snapped the Flames' eight-game home winning streak.

Los Angeles improved to 7-1-4 under Darryl Sutter, who spent eight years in Calgary as both a coach and general manager. On Saturday, he defeated Brent - who is the Flames' coach - in the first meeting between the brothers.

Michael Cammalleri, who was acquired from the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, scored a power-play goal after deflecting defenseman Anton Babchuk's blast with 4:08 left in the second period. The Flames couldn't solve Quick again and saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

After a scoreless first period, Richards struck 27 seconds into the middle session. Calgary defenseman Mark Giordano misplayed the puck near his own blue line, allowing Richards to skate in and beat Miikka Kiprusoff with a backhander.

The Kings doubled the advantage just over 2 1/2 minutes later as defenseman Matt Greene's wrist shot beat a screened Kiprusoff for his career-high third goal of the season.

With his team on a power play, Kopitar gave Los Angeles a 3-0 lead with 5:12 remaining in the second after alertly locating a loose puck and knocking it past Kiprusoff.
