Colts 21, Raiders 17: Andrew Luck threw for two touchdowns and ran in the go-ahead score from 19 yards out as host Indianapolis survived a record-setting performance - and a last-minute scoring effort - by Oakland quarterback Terrelle Pryor to take the season opener.

Coming off a stellar season in which he set the NFL record for passing yards by a rookie, Luck picked up where he left off by completing his first 11 passes, including TD strikes of 12 yards to Reggie Wayne and 20 yards to Dwayne Allen as Indianapolis (1-0) took a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter. Luck finished 18-for-23 for 178 yards.

Pryor ran 13 times for 112 yards, the most rushing yards in team history for a quarterback, and completed 19-of-29 passes for 217 yards. He got 51 of his rushing yards on a second-quarter drive that Darren McFadden finished with a 1-yard TD and found Denarius Moore from five yards out with 11:09 remaining in the game to give the Raiders (0-1) a 17-14 lead.

Luck was 5-for-7 on the ensuing drive and broke loose on a scramble from 19 yards out to finish the scoring with 5:20 to go. Pryor brought Oakland all the way to the Indianapolis 8 before losing 16 yards on a sack and then throwing his second interception short of the end zone with 31 seconds left to end it.

Wayne finished with eight catches for 96 yards and Vick Ballard gained 63 yards on the ground for the Colts. Rod Streater hauled in five catches for 70 yards while McFadden was limited to 48 yards on 17 carries for the Raiders.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wayne has a catch in 113 straight games, still well shy of Marvin Harrison's team record of 190. ... Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw had 26 yards on seven carries in his debut with the team. ... Allen left in the fourth quarter with a foot injury. ... Oakland K Sebastian Janikowski missed a 48-yard field goal try on the final play of the first half.
