Texans 24, Titans 10: Matt Schaub threw two touchdown passes and visiting Houston forced six turnovers en route to clinching a playoff spot, setting a franchise record for wins and maintaining the best record in the AFC.
Schaub was 21-of-35 for 207 yards and threw two scoring strikes in the first quarter - a 54-yard toss to Lestar Jean and a 5-yarder to James Casey - but the Texans' defense stole the show with six takeaways and six sacks.
Jake Locker was 21-of-45 for 309 yards and a touchdown for the Titans (4-8), but he also threw three interceptions. Tennessee's Chris Johnson rushed for 51 yards on 13 carries and is seven yards shy of his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season.
Houston (11-1) led 21-3 at halftime after Schaub's early TD passes and Arian Foster's 2-yard touchdown run. The Texans improved to 6-0 on the road.
Nate Washington had three catches for 96 yards for Tennessee.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Texans have won six of the past nine meetings and swept the season series. … The Titans, who fired offensive coordinator Chris Palmer last week and replaced him with Dowell Loggains, have lost four of five. … Tennessee's Kendall Wright caught six passes for 78 yards and leads all NFL rookies with 54 receptions.
