No. 20 Nebraska 30, No. 23 Wisconsin 27: Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 107 yards and a score to lead the Cornhuskers to the come-from-behind Big Ten victory against the visiting Badgers.

Martinez and kicker Brett Maher had a primary role in the 20 unanswered points scored by Nebraska in the second half.

Martinez scored on a 38-yard touchdown run 93 seconds after the Badgers (3-2, 0-1) had taken a 27-10 lead with 10:29 left in the third quarter. He then hit Kyler Reed with a 10-yard touchdown pass to cut the deficit to three points, and Maher followed with field goals of 38 and 41 yards to give the Cornhuskers (4-1, 1-0) the lead for good with 9:41 left in the game.

Wisconsin running back Montee Ball, who left last weekend’s victory against Texas El-Paso with concussion symptoms, played the entire game and finished with 90 yards in 32 carries and scored three touchdowns. Ball was stopped on fourth-and-1 near midfield with 1:11 left in the game.

Wisconsin freshman quarterback Joel Stave completed 12 of 23 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown before he was replaced by Danny O’Brien with just over 8 minutes left. Stave had replaced O’Brien earlier this season as the starter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wisconsin had only 90 total yards in the second half. ... Wisconsin kicker Jack Russell was replaced by Kyle French after he missed an extra-point attempt and a 41-yard field goal in the second quarter.
