Missouri 21, Central Florida 16
: Kendial Lawrence ran for 104 yards and the eventual game-winning touchdown as the visiting Tigers overcame a halftime deficit to avoid the upset.

Lawrence scored on a 10-yard run with 9:31 left as the Tigers (3-2) went ahead 21-10 after trailing 10-7 at halftime. Missouri took the lead for good on a 66-yard punt return by Marcus Murphy - his third punt-return touchdown of the season - midway through the third quarter.

The Knights (2-2), hosting an SEC school for the first time, cut into Missouri’s lead as Jeff Godfrey scored on an 18-yard pass from Blake Bortles with 4:34 left. But Godfrey fumbled after a reception on UCF’s final possession to end Central Florida's chances.

Missouri quarterback James Franklin went 19-for-30 with 257 yards, including a career-long 80-yard touchdown pass to Dorial Green-Beckham.

Bortles completed 29 of 43 for 267 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights. Storm Johnson rushed for a career-high 93 yards.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Before halftime, Bortles was sacked on third-and-goal from the 2, allowing time to expire and snuffing out what seemed a sure scoring drive. … Shawn Moffitt kicked a career-long 42-yard field goal, the first points Missouri has surrendered in the first quarter this season. … UCF fell to 2-14 all-time against SEC opponents.
