Recap: Michigan 31, Air Force 25

No. 19 Michigan 31, Air Force 25: Denard Robinson returned to form, racking up 415 yards of total offense, and No. 19 Michigan managed to stave off a ferocious Air Force triple-option attack in the Wolverines’ home opener.

The senior quarterback generated most of Michigan's 422 yards of total offense, passing for 208 yards and two touchdowns and running for 218 yards and a pair of scores.

Running back Cody Getz kept Air Force in the game late, finishing with 130 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Robinson broke free for a 79-yard rushing touchdown on Michigan's first possession of the game. He repeated the feat in the second half, taking the opening snap 58 yards for a score as the Wolverines (1-1) led 21-10.

The Falcons (1-1) got the ball back down six with 2:45 to go in the game, but they failed to put together anything resembling the sustained drives they enjoyed all game and Michigan hung on for the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The loss extended the Falcons' winless streak against ranked opponents to 20 games. … An announced 112,522 fans were in attendance, the 239th consecutive game at Michigan Stadium with over 100,000.
