Case Keenum had 279 of his 351 passing yards in the second half as Houston erased a 27-point third-quarter deficit to stun host Louisiana Tech 35-34 on Saturday.

Keenum’s third touchdown pass of the game - a 32-yard strike to Patrick Edwards with 1:36 left - put the Cougars ahead. It was the first lead of the game for the Cougars, who finished with 449 total yards.

Louisiana Tech drove 9 yards on its final drive before turning the ball over on downs at its own 38-yard line.

Keenum’s 27th victory made the senior the all-time winningest quarterback in Cougars history. He came into the game tied with Kevin Kolb.

Louisiana Tech led 20-7 at the half and extended its lead to 34-7 with 5:11 left in the third on Ray Holley’s 7-yard touchdown run.

The Cougars responded by scoring on three straight possessions - including a pair of 80-yard drives - to pull within 34-28 on back-to-back touchdown runs by Bryce Beall with 7:25 left.

Houston marched 84 yards on six plays in 1:10 on the decisive drive.

Edwards finished with 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Cougars, who improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. Justin Johnson had a game-high 100 yards on five catches.

Nick Isham went 20-of-31 for 199 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions for the Bulldogs, who racked up 444 yards of total offense but turned the ball over on two of their final four possessions, all in the fourth quarter.
