Anthony Allen ran for 165 yards and Georgia Tech used a pair of big plays to knock off Duke, 30-20, on Saturday in an Atlantic Coast conference matchup. With the win the Yellowjackets (6-5, 4-4 ACC Coastal) become bowl eligible for the 14th straight season.

Georgia Tech came into the game against Duke struggling, having lost three straight for the first time since the end of the 2006 season. The matchup with the Blue Devils was just what the Yellowjackets needed as they have now won seven straight in the series.

Down 13-6 at the half, Georgia Tech turned things around coming out of the locker room as they outscored Duke 24-7 in the second half, including 17-0 in the third quarter.

Mario Butler put the Yellowjackets ahead for good when he intercepted a pass by Brandon Connette and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown to make it 16-13 about midway through the third quarter.

Tevin Washington ran for a one-yard TD late in the third to extend the lead to 23-13.

Duke (3-8, 1-6 Coastal) pulled within 23-20 on a 37-yard touchdown pass from Sean Renfree to Austin Kelly, but Georgia Tech had one more big play in it.

The Yellowjackets iced the game with a 79-yard touchdown pass from Washington to Stephen Hill with 8:07 to play.
