Recap: Oklahoma State 33, Texas 16

Oklahoma State exorcised a couple of huge demons against the Texas Longhorns in their 33-16 win Saturday at Austin.

The 10th-ranked Cowboys (8-1, 4-1 Big 12) had lost 12 games to Texas and had not beaten UT at Austin since 1944. The win is the third in a row for the Cowboys, who lead the Big 12 South. The Longhorns (4-6, 2-5) have lost four straight.

It was a huge night for the explosive Oklahoma State offense, led by 27-year-old quarterback Brandon Weeden, who passed for 409 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Justin Blackmon caught nine passes for 145 yards and a touchdown, while running back Kendall Hunter rushed 23 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns. OSU had 529 total yards.

The Longhorns endured another miserable night on offense and never threatened. Oklahoma State has beaten all of the Texas Big 12 teams in the same season for the first time.
