Recap: Stanford 42, Arizona 17

Stepfan Taylor scored four touchdowns and Andrew Luck threw for two more as host Stanford pounded Arizona 42-17 in a Pac-10 showdown Saturday.

Taylor scored on a four short runs as the No. 12 Cardinal (8-1, 5-1 Pac-10) built a 28-3 lead early in the third quarter and cruised to the win. Luck threw a 45-yard scoring pass to Chris Owusu on Stanford’s first possession of the game. He later fired a 5-yarder to Tyler Gaffney. Luck threw for 297 yards on 23 for 32 passing while Taylor gained 83 yards on 20 carries.

No. 13 Arizona (7-2, 4-2) got 247 passing yards from Nick Foles. He was 28 for 48 passing including a 7-yard scoring pass to Juron Criner.

Keola Antolin also scored a 1-yard touchdown for the Wildcats and had 104 yards rushing on 17 carries.

Stanford has won four straight games.
