Recap: Utah 30, Wyoming 6
Oct 16, 2010
Jordan Wynn passed for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Matt Asiata led the rushing attack with 108 yards, as No. 10 Utah demolished Wyoming, 30-6, on Saturday.
Eddie Wide and Reggie Dunn each rushed for a touchdown for the Utes (6-0, 3-0 MWC), who allowed only 183 total yards in remaining unbeaten.
Wynn got Utah on the board in the first, finding Luke Matthews down the middle with a 45-yard pass on the opening drive of the game. The sophomore quarterback was intercepted on the next drive, but the Utes got back into gear in the second with a field goal and two more touchdowns. Wynn hit DeVonte Christopher with a 16-yard scoring pass and Wide found the end zone with a 6-yard rush to make it 23-0 going into the break.
Utah did not need to do much after that, adding one more score on Dunn’s 8-yard scamper in the third before letting the defense take over.
Wyoming (2-5, 0-3 MWC) avoided the shutout in the fourth quarter when Dax Crum and David Leonard hooked up for a 10-yard touchdown but the Cowboys had trouble moving the ball all day on the ground, managing only 67 rushing yards on 37 carries.
