Shane Vereen ran for 145 yards and scored two touchdowns as host California hammered UCLA 35-7 in Pac-10 play Saturday.

The Golden Bears (3-2, 1-1) led 28-0 at the half and easily snapped their two-game losing streak.

Kevin Riley threw a touchdown pass and rushed for another in the second quarter. Riley connected with Keenan Allen on a 10-yard scoring strike to give Cal a 21-0 lead. He then capped a drive with a 1-yard scoring plunge.

Marvin Jones added a 48-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter to complete the scoring.

UCLA (3-3, 1-2) had its three-game winning streak snapped. The Bruins got on the board in the third quarter when quarterback Kevin Prince fired a six-yard touchdown pass to Christian Ramirez.

But after UCLA rushed for a combined 701 yards in the previous two games, Cal held the Bruins to just 25 yards on the ground. Prince was 13 of 31 for 99 yards passing before being replaced late in the contest.
