Recap

San Diego State used two long touchdown runs from freshman phenom Ronnie Hillman to hang with the Missouri Tigers, then intercepted Blaine Gabbert twice in the final five minutes en route to what looked like a huge upset win at Memorial Stadium.

However, Blaine Gabbert came back to redeem himself throwing a 68-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver T.J. Moe with 51 seconds left, to give the Tigers the win in dramatic fashion, 27-24.

Hillman's second touchdown, a 93-yarder, gave the Aztecs a 21-20 lead with 10:55 left to play in the game. Then after picking off Gabbert, they tacked on a field goal to go up four with 2:06 remaining.

San Diego State then intercepted Gabbert again and it looked like the upset was complete.

In the first half, Gabbert scrambled for an 11-yard touchdown that put the Tigers up 17-7 with one minute to go in the first half. San Diego State came right back though. Hillman burst through the Tiger defense for a 75-yard score, pulling the Aztecs within three going into halftime.

Both offenses stalled in the third quarter, as the Tigers scored the only points on a 38-yard field goal from Grant Ressel. But with lightning all around the field, the fourth quarter turned out to be electric.

The Aztecs lead could have been more after the Tigers fumbled on their own 7-yard line midway through the 4th quarter, but their defense then promptly picked off Ryan Lindley's pass in the end zone.

Lindley finished the game 20-of-44 for 190 yards. Despite the loss, Hillman was the real star of the game rushing 24 times for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

Gabbert struggled all night with his accuracy, a week after going 26-31 against McNeese State. He was constantly pressured out of the pocket and overthrew open receivers on several deep balls. He finished the game 28-of-51 for 351 yards.

However, he came through when it counted most, hooking up with Moe and tight end Michael Egnew a combined 19 times. Moe came into the game leading the nation in receptions. He finished with seven receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown. Egnew, who lead all tight ends in receptions coming in, caught 12 passes for 136 yards.
