Iowa State 63, Texas Christian 50: Tyrus McGee scored 16 points off the bench as the Cyclones kept the host Horned Frogs winless in Big 12 Conference play.
McGee hit two 3-pointers for the Cyclones (13-4, 3-1 Big 12), the second giving Iowa State a 15-point lead with 12:11 left. Will Clyburn added 12 points and Melvin Ejim recorded his Big 12-leading eighth double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Garlon Green, Devonta Abron and Charles Hill Jr. scored 10 points apiece to pace Horned Frogs (9-9, 0-5). Texas Christian went 20-of-55 (36.4 percent) from the floor and missed 13 free throws (9 of 22).
Hill Jr. tied the game at 22 with a jumper with 8:04 left in the first half but Iowa State finished the period on a 14-4 run. McGee had seven points, including a 3-pointer and a dunk off a turnover, while the Horned Frogs had one field goal.
Another McGee 3-pointer gave Iowa State its biggest lead at 49-34 with 12:11 left. Clyde Smith III's jumper with 2:17 left cut the lead to single digits for the first time in more than 13 minutes but the Horned Frogs never got closer.
