UCLA 78, Colorado 75: Travis Wear scored a career-high 23 points and the visiting Bruins survived a frantic comeback bid by the Buffaloes to win their ninth straight game.
Jordan Adams scored 18 points, and fellow freshman Shabazz Muhammad added 14 and Kyle Anderson had 12 points and 10 rebounds for UCLA (14-3, 4-0 Pac-12), which broke open a 42-42 game midway through the second half with a 16-3 run. The Bruins made eight of 11 free throws in the final 1:01, but had to hold their breath as Askia Booker missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Spencer Dinwiddie scored 23 points while Booker and Josh Scott added 18 apiece for Colorado (11-5, 1-3), which suffered its first home loss of the season. Andre Roberson, who entered the game third in the country at 11.8 rebounds, grabbed a game-high 12.
Muhammad picked up his second foul less than four minutes into the game, but stayed out of trouble the rest of the first half as the Bruins enjoyed a 35-34 lead at the break. There were 12 lead changes in the first 20 minutes with the largest advantage by either team four by Colorado.
The Bruins scored the first five points of the second half before Dinwiddie's 3-pointer capped an 8-2 run to tie the score with 16:07 remaining. Muhammad's emphatic dunk and Adams' four-point play with 9:49 remaining gave UCLA a 58-45 lead.
