Stanford 69, Alcorn State 51: Josh Huestis scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Cardinal cruised past the visiting Braves.
Chasson Randle added 10 points and Stanford (3-0) had a 47-28 rebounding edge to overcome 34.4 percent shooting while leading by double digits most of the contest.
Anthony Nieves scored 12 points for Alcorn State (1-2), which committed 19 turnovers.
The Braves had an early 9-8 lead before Stanford went ahead to stay with eight consecutive points. The run grew to 18-4 as Gabriel Harris hit a 3-pointer - his only points of the game - to give the Cardinal a 26-13 advantage with 7:33 left in the half.
Stanford led 33-21 at halftime and Alcorn State was still within 10 with under 12 minutes to play when Huestis hit a basket to start a 13-2 surge that pushed the Cardinal lead to 58-37 with 6:41 left. Huestis was 8-for-10 from the field.
