Kings 105, Warriors 98: Isaiah Thomas hit a career-high seven 3-pointers en route to 31 points as visiting Sacramento stunned Golden State.

DeMarcus Cousins added 14 points and Marcus Thornton had 13 off the bench for the Kings, who improved their Western Conference-worst road record to 7-30.

David Lee collected 20 points and 10 rebounds and Stephen Curry had 17 and 12 assists as the Warriors fumbled a chance to gain ground in the West playoff race. Golden State maintained its one-game lead for the No. 6 spot in the West over the Houston Rockets, who lost earlier Wednesday.

Sacramento used a 13-1 run in the second quarter to take the lead and maintained a 47-44 lead at the half. The Warriors grabbed the lead back with a quick burst to start the third but the Kings came right back, getting a pair of 3-pointers from Thomas during a 13-0 burst to take a 64-52 lead.

Thomas hit two more 3-pointers to close the third and send Sacramento into the fourth quarter with a 77-66 edge.

Golden State drew to within 93-88 on Harrison Barnes’ driving layup with 3:29 left but the Kings called timeout and Thomas hit another 3-pointer to grab the momentum back. Evans’ basket with 42 seconds left made it a 98-90 lead.

Back-to-back layups from Curry cut it down to 100-96 with 20 seconds left, but Sacramento was able to put it away at the line.

Curry went 2-for-9 from 3-point range, snapping a string of five straight games with at least three from beyond the arc. He and Klay Thompson combined to shoot 3-for-17, and the Warriors were 5-of-24 from long range. … The Kings took three of four in the series from Golden State. … The Warriors continue their five-game homestand by hosting the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. … Thomas has gone for 24 points or more in four of the last six games.
