Jose Calderon had a season-high 24 points and Greg Monroe registered his eighth straight double-double with 16 points and 18 rebounds as the Pistons beat the Wizards for the fifth straight time.
Emeka Okafor scored 20 points and John Wall added 16 and nine assists for Washington, which fell to 9-43 in its last 52 games in Detroit.
The Wizards led by as many as eight points in the third quarter and went ahead 70-65 in the opening seconds of the fourth when Trevor Ariza hit a pair of free throws.
The Pistons responded with a pair of 11-0 bursts to seize control. Charlie Villanueva had a four-point play in the first one as Detroit surged ahead 76-70, and after Washington tied it at 76-76, Bynum scored six straight points to ignite the decisive run.
