Pistons 104, Magic 102: Brandon Knight scored a career-high 31 points and hit a pair of key 3-pointers down the stretch to help visiting Detroit hold on despite 31 points from J.J. Redick.

Greg Monroe collected 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Will Bynum added nine points and 12 assists off the bench for the Pistons, who snapped a two-game skid and salvaged a split of the four-game season series.

Jameer Nelson had 18 points and eight assists and E'Twaun Moore scored 18 off the bench for the Magic, who have lost five straight and 16 of 18.

The teams battled through 10 lead changes in the fourth quarter, but Knight put the Pistons ahead for good with back-to-back 3-pointers. His 25-footer from the left wing after a pair of offensive rebounds kept the possession alive tied it at 98, and after drawing a charge against Glen Davis at the other end, Knight drained another one from the left corner for a 101-98 lead.

Trailing 104-100, the Magic still had a chance to force overtime when Nelson was fouled shooting a 3-pointer with 6.7 seconds left. Nelson made the first two free throws and missed the third. Davis corralled the rebound and had a shot blocked, and Orlando missed two more tip-in chances before time expired.
