SUNS 104, WIZARDS 88: Marcin Gortat scored 20 points and Channing Frye had 19 points and 11 rebounds as host Phoenix pulled away with a 31-5 run during the third quarter to break open a tight contest.
Michael Redd scored 14 points and Steve Nash had 12 points and 11 assists as the Suns won their second consecutive game.
Jordan Crawford scored 20 points and Trevor Booker had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Wizards, who have dropped three straight games.
The Wizards led 55-54 after a three-point play by Booker with 8:12 left in the quarter. Jared Dudley answered with a jumper to start a string of 16 consecutive Phoenix points and the Suns led by 15 with just under four minutes left.
The onslaught continued until Redd culminated it with a 3-pointer with 34.8 seconds left to give Phoenix an 85-60 advantage.
Grant Hill added 11 points for the Suns.
