Recap
Chris Paul scored a season-high 33 points and Blake Griffin had 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Los Angeles Clippers overcame a fourth consecutive 40-plus-point game from Kobe Bryant for a 102-94 victory Saturday night.
Bryant scored 21 points in the third quarter to keep the Lakers in the game as they used a 21-5 run to get to 76-72. But Paul scored 10 points, including a 34-foot 3-pointer, to spark a 19-10 run as the Clippers (6-3) won the first of three games against their co-tenants.
Bryant finished 14 of 28 for 42 points. Andrew Bynum had 16 rebounds and 12 points and Pau Gasol had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers (9-5), who were the visiting team and kept their eight-game home winning streak alive.
Paul scored 15 points and Chauncey Billups added 14 to lead four Clippers in double figures scoring in the first half.
Billups finished with 19. Randy Foye (10 points) provided all but one of the Clippers' bench points.
In a surprise, the Clippers outrebounded the Lakers 50-42. The Lakers were the league's best rebounding team, while the Clippers were the worst.
