Manu Ginobili hit two go-ahead free throws with 15.7 seconds left as part of a fourth-quarter rally that lifted the San Antonio Spurs to a 90-87 victory over the host Indiana Pacers on Friday.
Ginobili had 25 points and the two free throws gave San Antonio a one-point lead and helped the Spurs (30-6) snap a brief two-game losing streak.
Indiana’s Roy Hibbert missed a go-ahead shot attempt with six seconds left. San Antonio’s Tony Parker followed with two free throws before Indiana’s James Posey missed a tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Tyler Hansbrough had a season-best game with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacers (14-19).
San Antonio outscored Indiana 26-12 in the fourth quarter. The Spurs trailed by nine points midway through the fourth before going on an 11-2 run to tie the score at 83 on George Hill’s layup with 3:49 remaining.
Hill scored 16 points for the Spurs while Tim Duncan had 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Danny Granger scored 15 points, Mike Dunleavy had 14 and Hibbert had 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Pacers.
