Recap

Andre Iguodala had 22 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers posted a 111-100 victory over Kevin Love and the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

Thaddeus Young led three reserves in double figures with 16 points for the Sixers (31-30), who have won seven of nine to surpass .500 for the second time this season. The triple-double was the sixth of Iguodala's career.

Love posted 21 points and 23 rebounds for his 49th consecutive double-double – two shy of Moses Malone’s all-time record – as the Timberwolves fell to 5-26 on the road.

The Sixers used a 34-18 second quarter to take control, but the Timberwolves came back from an 81-67 third-quarter deficit and tied it 91-91 on a 3-pointer from Lazar Hayward.

The Sixers responded immediately with a jumper by Evan Turner, a nifty right-handed drive by Young and a slam dunk by Iguodala off a turnover to restore a six-point edge with just over six minutes left.

Minnesota trimmed it back to within one, but Elton Brand (21 points) hit back-to-back jumpers, the second as the shot clock was winding down with under a minute to play, to keep Philadelphia clear. The hoops were Brand’s only points of the second half.
