Thaddeus Young scored 24 points, Andre Iguodala had 21 points and 11 assists and Elton Brand had 20 points and 17 rebounds as the host Philadelphia 76ers routed the shorthanded Detroit Pistons 110-94 on Thursday.

The victory was the 12th in 16 games for Philadelphia (29-29), which reached the .500 mark for the first time this season.

Will Bynum scored a season-high 29 points for Detroit (21-39), which used just six players after several players missed Friday’s shootaround.

Richard Hamilton and Chris Wilcox were no-shows and Rodney Stuckey and Austin Daye showed up late after missing the bus. Tayshaun Prince (upset stomach), Tracy McGrady (headache) and Ben Wallace (family matter) also were absent. None of the seven players saw action in Friday’s game.

Young made 12 of 15 shots for the 76ers, who used an 18-5 run over seven minutes to take a 98-78 lead on Iguodala’s dunk with 6:26 remaining in the contest.

Philadelphia outrebounded Detroit 49-32, with Brand matching his season-high for rebounds.

Charlie Villanueva scored 17 points, Greg Monroe had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Ben Gordon tallied 16 points for the Pistons.

Pistons coach John Kuester, who has been at odds with some of the players who weren’t in attendance at the shootaround, was ejected with three minutes left in the second quarter.
