Recap

Rashard Lewis and Nick Young led a balanced attack with 16 points apiece as the Washington Wizards rode an early offensive outburst to a 97-77 rout of the New Jersey Nets on Friday.

The Wizards (9-25) put the game away early, busting out to a 26-6 first-quarter lead and cruising from there. The game-opening run prompted Nets coach Avery Johnson to sit four of his five starters midway through the first quarter, though the move did little to rouse his team.

Lewis added 13 rebounds and six assists in his most complete game since joining the Wizards in a December trade with the Orlando Magic. JaVale McGee poured in 15 points and Andray Blatche chipped in 14 as the Wizards won for just the third time in their past 16 games.

Kirk Hinrich added 10 points off the bench.

Brook Lopez and Jordan Farmar had 14 points apiece to lead the Nets (10-26), who lost their sixth consecutive road game. Rookie Derrick Favors added 12 points in defeat.
