Brewers 6, Rangers 3:
Yuniesky Betancourt slugged a two-run homer and Carlos Gomez hit a two-run double as host Milwaukee downed Texas to snap a five-game losing streak.

Aramis Ramirez also homered and Ryan Braun had a run-scoring single as the Brewers won for the first time since April 30. Milwaukee scored five runs in the first inning while handing Texas its second straight loss.

Wily Peralta (3-2) allowed three runs (two earned) and five hits in six innings. Jim Henderson worked the ninth for his seventh save in as many opportunities.

Braun got the first inning uprising going with his RBI single against Justin Grimm (2-2). Gomez drilled a double into the left-center field gap and Betancourt powered a ball over the left-center field fence to cap the five-run inning.

Mitch Moreland homered for Texas in the second and the Rangers pushed two across in the sixth when Ramirez’s error at third base let one run in and another scored on a sacrifice fly by Nelson Cruz. Ramirez homered in the seventh to push the lead back to three.
