Dodgers 3, Brewers 1: Clayton Kershaw turned in another gem and Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp hit home runs as visiting Los Angeles snapped a three-game losing streak.
Ethier's bomb into the second deck in right field gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the fourth, and Kemp's shot to left added to the cushion in the sixth. That was plenty of support for Kershaw (5-2), who limited the Brewers to one run on three hits in his second complete game of the season and 10th of his career.
Both homers came against Brewers ace Yovani Gallardo (3-4), who lost his third straight start and remained winless in four outings this month. Gallardo allowed three runs on eight hits over six innings.
Ethier opened the scoring with an RBI triple that scored Kemp in the second. The Brewers tied it on Norichika Aoki's run-scoring groundout in the third but got nothing more against Kershaw, who has recorded five straight quality starts and hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his 10 outings this season.
Ryan Braun had two of the three hits for the Brewers, who have dropped 15 of 18 this month.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Kemp has two home runs through 43 games. He had 14 through 43 games last season. … Ethier was ejected by home plate umpire Dan Bellino after the two exchanged words following Ethier's strikeout to end the eighth inning. … The Brewers fell to 0-18 when scoring fewer than four runs.
