Angels 4, Rangers 2: Pinch hitter Kendrys Morales and Mike Trout hit sacrifice flies in the seventh inning as Los Angeles overcame another home run by Josh Hamilton to even the three-game series.

Mark Trumbo belted a two-run shot and scored twice for the Angels, who have won eight of 12.

Hamilton launched a one-out solo homer in the sixth inning to forge a 2-2 tie. It was the slugger's major league-leading 18th blast of the season and ninth in six games.

Los Angeles regained the lead quickly as Trumbo drew a leadoff walk from Matt Harrison (4-3) in the seventh and Howie Kendrick followed with a bunt single. Alexi Ogando came on and yielded another bunt hit by Peter Bourjos before Morales plated Trumbo with a flyout to left field.

After John Hester hit his second single of the afternoon, Kendrick raced home on Trout's fly to right, giving the Angels a 4-2 advantage.

The rally made a winner of David Carpenter (1-1), who recorded the final out of the sixth in relief of C.J. Wilson. The former Rangers ace allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings after having his start in Friday's series opener limited to five batters due to a lengthy rain delay.

Scott Downs notched the last out in the ninth to register his third save in five chances.

Harrison surrendered four runs and four hits over six frames.

Craig Gentry had an RBI single for the Rangers, who had won four of five.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wilson became the first pitcher to start consecutive games since Texas' Aaron Myette accomplished the feat on Sept. 3-4, 2002. Myette was ejected from the Sept. 3 contest after throwing just two pitches. ... The Rangers have decided to push Derek Holland's next scheduled start to next Saturday against Houston. Holland, who will now pitch on eight days rest, worked one of Texas' games of its doubleheader against Baltimore on Thursday. ... Rangers catcher Yorvit Torrealba was not in the lineup after being hit in the head with a bat on Friday.
