Recap
Mets 7, Rockies 5: Lucas Duda homered and drove in four runs and David Wright went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead visiting New York to its fourth win in the last five games.
Ruben Tejada added three hits and scored a pair of runs and David Murphy went 3-for-5 for the Mets, who dropped the series opener 18-9 on Friday.
Dillon Gee (2-2) did his best to hold down the Colorado offense, allowing four runs - three earned - on seven hits while striking out seven and walking two in seven innings.
Guillermo Moscoso (0-1) was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs to make a spot start for the Rockies and let an early 1-0 lead slip away in the second, when Duda crushed a 2-1 offering into the bullpen in right-center field for a two-run blast.
Wright’s RBI double in the third pushed it to 3-1 before Colorado made its move, putting together a three-run rally in the bottom of the fourth to jump back on top.
But Moscoso once again could not hold onto the one-run edge. Wright tied it up with an RBI single that scored Tejada and Duda followed with a two-run single into center.
Moscoso was charged with six runs on nine hits in five innings.
Frank Francisco allowed a run on Dexter Fowler‘s homer in the ninth but still picked up his fifth save.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado RH Jeremy Guthrie was scheduled to start Saturday but had to be placed on the 15-day disabled list after injuring his shoulder falling off his bicycle. … Rockies LH Drew Pomeranz, who left Friday’s start with tightness in his forearm, is expected to make his next start. … A day after hitting for the cycle, Mets LF Scott Hairston went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts.
