Recap

Phillies 7, Marlins 1:
Roy Halladay turned in a second straight dominating effort and Philadelphia’s dormant offense came to life in an easy win over visiting Miami.

Marlins starter Josh Johnson (0-2) gave himself an early lead with an RBI groundout in the second inning, but gave it back and more when the Phillies tagged him for five runs in the third.

Placido Polanco, Jimmy Rollins and Hunter Pence each singled home a run before Freddy Galvis capped the surge with a two-run double.

Halladay (2-0) scattered five hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. He was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the seventh after a solo homer by Carlos Ruiz had extended Philadelphia’s lead to 7-1.

Johnson went 3 2/3 innings, allowing six runs on 11 hits and a walk.

Shane Victorino delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning for Philadelphia, which had scored eight runs in its previous four games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia is 2-0 when Halladay starts and 0-3 when he does not. ... Johnson has already allowed 10 or more hits twice this season after allowing 10 hits once in his first 113 career starts. ... Miami right fielder Giancarlo Stanton was back in the lineup after being held out of Monday’s series opener with left knee pain.
