Recap
Xavier Nady slammed a two-run home run and Ian Kennedy pitched six strong innings as the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Ryan Roberts hit a solo homer in a four-run second inning to help the Diamondbacks win the rubber game of the series and finish 3-6 on a nine-game road trip.
Kennedy (4-1) allowed one run on four hits while striking out eight and walking one to end a string of three straight no-decisions.
Esmerling Vásquez and David Hernandez each pitched a scoreless inning before J.J. Putz finished up for his ninth save.
Dodgers starter Ted Lilly (3-4) hurt himself in the decisive second frame by issuing a leadoff walk to Stephen Drew and hitting Miguel Montero with a pitch.
Aaron Miles had three hits, including an RBI single in the third, and Jamey Carroll had a pair of hits for Los Angeles.
Drew had two hits and Chris Young delivered a sacrifice fly for the Diamondbacks, who lost each game on the road trip by one run.
