Recap
Drew Stubbs led off the ninth inning with a home run, sending the host Cincinnati Reds to a 4-3 walkoff triumph over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday night.
After pinch-hitter Brooks Conrad struck out looking in the top of the frame with the go-ahead run on third base and two out, Stubbs deposited the first pitch from Scott Linebrink (3-2) into the right-field seats for his 13th blast of the year.
Francisco Cordero (4-3) tossed a scoreless inning to notch the victory for Cincinnati, which has won consecutive games for the first time since mid-June.
Cincinnati used the long ball to take a 3-0 lead against Atlanta starter Brandon Beachy. Brandon Phillips belted a two-run shot in the first and Miguel Cairo launched his first homer since June 19 in the second.
Atlanta's Brian McCann led off the fourth with his 18th homer, and Freddie Freeman scored on a groundout later in the frame. Pinch-hitter Julio Lugo tied the game 3-3 in the seventh with an RBI single off Dontrelle Willis, who threw well but remained winless in three starts.
Dan Uggla went 0-for-3 for the Braves, ending his career-high 14-game hitting streak.
