Recap
Alex Gordon had a four-hit game and Billy Butler singled home the go-ahead run in the six-run sixth inning as the Kansas City Royals posted a 9-4 victory over the visiting Baltimore Orioles on Thursday night.
Melky Cabrera tied the game with an RBI single before Butler delivered. Yamaico Navarro had a two-run double and Chris Getz added an RBI single to cap the sixth-inning rally.
Gordon now has a career-high 135 hits this season. Jeff Francoeur added three hits and an RBI for the Royals, who are 4-0-1 in their last five series.

Nick Markakis and Matt Wieters each had two hits and an RBI for the Orioles. Chris Davis’ RBI double gave Baltimore a 4-3 lead in the sixth.
Royals’ reliever Blake Wood (5-0) retired Adam Jones with the bases loaded to end the sixth, earning the victory.
