The Milwaukee Brewers chased Johnny Cueto with eight runs in the second inning on their way to a 13-1 pounding of the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Casey McGehee had three hits and four RBIs and Corey Hart belted his 29th home run of the season and had three RBIs in this one for Milwaukee (70-81).
Lorenzo Cain picked up four hits and scored two runs and the Brewers ended up with 19 hits on the evening.
Milwaukee starter Randy Wolf (13-11) cruised through six innings of work. He gave up a single run on four hits while striking out seven and walking two to pick up the victory.
Cueto (12-6), who hasn’t won a start since Aug. 27, gave up eight hits and walked three on just 49 pitches. Aaron Harang came on after Cueto left and allowed three runs and six hits over two innings.
The Reds only managed five hits after averaging more than six runs in Cueto’s previous starts this season.
