Recap

Derrek Lee belted a grand slam in the seventh inning to snap a tie and help the Atlanta Braves post a 6-3 victory over the New York Mets, completing a three-game series sweep.

Alex Gonzalez added a pair of RBI singles and Derek Lowe tossed six effective innings for the Braves, who swept their first road series since taking three at Milwaukee from May 10-12.

Atlanta fell behind early as David Wright hit a two-run homer, his 24th of the season, off Lowe in the first inning.  But Gonzalez forged a 2-2 tie with run-scoring singles in the second and sixth frames.

The Braves staged the decisive rally an inning later as pinch-hitter Melky Cabrera and Omar Infante started off with singles to chase R.A. Dickey.  Pedro Feliciano came on and recorded two outs around an intentional walk before giving way to Manny Acosta, whose 3-2 pitch to Lee was deposited over the left-field wall for his 18th blast of the year and 11th career grand slam.

It also was the major league-leading 12th grand slam allowed in 2010 by New York, which has yet to hit one itself.

Lee's shot helped Lowe (14-12) record his third consecutive victory following three straight losses.  The veteran right-hander allowed two runs and four hits, walking one and striking out two in evening his career mark against the Mets at 3-3.

Eric O'Flaherty and Jonny Venters each worked an inning before rookie Craig Kimbrel allowed an infield single but struck out three in the ninth for his first career save.

Dickey (11-7) lost for just the second time in six decisions as he surrendered four runs and 10 hits in six-plus frames.  The knuckleballer walked two and hit a batter without recording a strikeout as he fell to 7-2 at home this year, with both losses coming against Atlanta.
