Recap
Ryan Doumit twice gave Pittsburgh the lead, the second a walk-off home run in the 10th inning, as the Pirates snapped the Atlanta Braves' five-game winning streak with a 3-2 victory Sunday at PNC Park.
Doumit singled in the go-ahead run in Pittsburgh's two-run sixth, but the Braves forced extra innings on Eric Hinske's second home run in two days, a pinch-hit solo shot to lead off the eighth.
The Pirates catcher did it again with two outs in the 10th, driving a Takashi Saito (0-2) pitch into the right-field seats for his fourth home run of the season. Doumit also added a double to finish 3-for-5.
Octavio Dotel (2-0) worked around two walks in a scoreless 10th for the win. Pittsburgh starter Zach Duke allowed only one unearned run on seven hits over seven strong innings. He struck out five and walked none.
Braves starter Kris Medlen didn't allow a run until the sixth. He finished the day giving up two runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Pittsburgh second baseman Akinori Iwamura went 2-for-5 to snap a 0-for-34 slump dating back to May 7. Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen had two hits, including a triple that helped spark the two-run sixth.
David Ross had two hits and an RBI for the Braves, who have lost only three times in 12 games.
