Its debatable which is the better team here, Gamecocks are better on defense while the Dawgs are better offensively. I'd take Murray over Shaw any day ! However SC's defense is stout against the run.
Tough call here but my early lean is on the Dawgs +2.5. Curious to see which way the line moves!

I agree real tough call no play here but I see the line moving to a pick or Carolina home dog. The Vols Passed all over the dogs last week and they did not cover but Carolina can`t pass. I would also play the dogs if I had to......and I may by friday.

Look at South Carolina's scoring totals at home this year. They are 2-0 ATS at home as well. I like SC- 2.5 here.
Yeah!! Look at who S. Carolina has played at home this year..........E. Carolina ( - 21), Missouri ( - 10 1/2), UAB (-33 1/2). All 3 of these teams SUCK!!! RB's- Georgia (Gurley & another REAL GOOD freshmen) , S. Carolina (Lattimore). Big edge to Georgia. QB's- Georgia (Murray). S. Carolina (Shaw...... very inconsistent) Big edge to Georgia. Offense: Big edge to Georgia. Defense: Edge to S. Carolina. Overall: BIG edge to Georgia. Georgia wins this game outright.

Who has Georgia played? They almost lost to Tennessee at home last week! RB's Georgia big edge?? Yes they have 2 good freshman but to say they have a big edge on Lattimore is craziness. QB, yes Georgia has the edge here, lets just hope that Murray doesn't turn it over in their own territory like he did twice last week. Both turned into TDs. It's gonna be a close game, prob not gonna even touch it even though I feel SC will win.

Did you just compare RBs and say Georgia has a BIG edge. Are you high??? Marcus Lattimore is the one of the best RBs in the country. Look at Aaron Murrays #'s in big games, not during the games where he plays inferior opponents. Murray has struggled throughout his career when playing any defense on the level of South Carolina's this year.

I have this game in my weekly weighted pool.....This is the bonus game, need to pick a straight up winner. Everytime i have laid $$ on S. Carolia they havent covered. Any thoughts on stright up winner ?

After doing research on this game I came to the conclusion that it's SC's good D and sometimes stagnant O versus Georgia's good O and sometimes head scratching D(I'm speaking mostly last week against Tenn) yes they caused a couple key turnovers, but one thing that points out a really stout Defense is getting teams to kick field goals instead of TD's when they have it in the redzone. Georgia fumbled twice in their own territory and their D couldn't stop Tenn from scoring TD's in both situations. All that being said, the advantage goes to SC because it's at home and they perform well at home 2-0 ATS at home and put up 128 pts in 3 games. I have a gut feeling that SC wins this game by maybe 7-10 points. But as all us degenerates know, noone on this board is a psychic. Well not a full blown psychic anyway

South carolina last week was a mess at Kentucky. Georgia also was a mess at home vs tenn. South Carolina at home and under spurrier look good, but I can't underestimate Murray and their great coach.

I'm stayin away. Any thoughts on the over/under. Im leaning towards the over based off of Uga offense, USC defense wasn't too impressive at Kentucky and they, and Connor shaw is due to rise to the occasion.

USC's D gave up a total of 243 yards and allowed UK to score 17 total points last week. It wasn't a perfect game for the gamecocks but I think you're blaming their D a little too much for last week's performance. It was their offense that took a while to get going.

I think Georgia wins this straight up, but with SC at home the better play is the UNDER. I think those saying the UT game was close didn't see how dominant the Bulldogs were in the game. TN got 21 points on turnovers with only 27 yards of offense. UGA didn't even score in the 4th quarter as they tried to sit on a lead and almost didn't throw it at all despite receivers being open all night. Crazy to let it get that close but that was a 4TD game talent wise.
Georgia had new starters back on the defense for the 1st time and played too loose on pass coverage. They were the number 5 defense in the country last year and now have 10 of the 11 starters back. I also think SC's strength is their defense, which will be the best UGA has seen all year. UGA's offense and defense will the best SC has seen this year.
In games with common opponents, they both beat Mizzou by comparable scores with SC at home, and Georgia on the road. SC struggled to beat Vandy on the road, and UGA at home pulled their starters in the 3rd Quarter beating Vandy 45-3. I still think this will be a low scoring win by UGA but feel the UNDER is the better play. Historically, last year excepted, this has been a very low scoring rivalry.

Georgia has been solid on offense there is no denying that as they average 48 points a game. Although Georgia has a lot of weapons on offense they will be without their leading Wr Michael Bennett who tore his ACL on Tuesday. Their running game is solid but will be tested against a very solid South Carolina front 4 on defense. The SC defense average almost 5 sacks a game and will get their chances at Murray in this one as well.
IMO Georgia's defense will have their hands full with trying to contain Lattimore and once they try to focus on stopping the run it will open up the SC passing game. Shaw does not have Murray type numbers but Shaw has been better at not turning the ball over.

You must be smoking that blue grass up in Kentucky holdnt, not saying that SC doesn't have a chance to win, they do, but to say TN should have won that game last week shows you must have just seen the score and not the game. TN was outclassed on both sides of the ball, only 21 gift points on turnovers and the UGA offense taking their foot off the gas in the 4th Qtr, kept that from being a 4-5 TD blowout. UGA defense gave too much respect to the TN receivers and allowed the runs and short passes to work. SC doesn't have that type of receiver this year with Jefferies gone. Also, four guys were playing their position for the first time on UGA's defense. They should look more like last season's D in Columbia.
Now a game that was REALLY in question was SC's game against Vandy. Only a huge missed call when Vandy was driving at the end kept that from being a very possible loss. Beating Vandy 17-13 and trailing Kentucky at the half doesn't make me comfortable that SC can handle the UGA defense. Barring a negative 2 Turnover performance, Georgia will win this game. But I agree with your UNDER, the 40+ points per game UGA streak will probably end as SC can limit the running game, the pass....not so much. UGA gets Malcom Mitchell back as a WR this week. He was the leading receiver last year and is the fastest of the group. In addition to the under I recommended before I am adding a ML play on UGA to win SU.
UGA to win SU 2x play Under 3x play.
Good luck to all, there are 6 really good games this weekend, Enjoy.

This alway such a great time of year...This game is always close. even thought since 2002 only 3 games have been by more then 1 score (UGA 2vs USC 1), but this game was always payed in the begining of the season...so teams were still gelling.
Dont let last week's SC game vs UK deter you... the Cocks were clearly looking forward to this game. trust me the USC/UGA game usually defines each teams season, especially in the SEC East.
USC D-Line is ready to pressure A.Murray and their back field, and USC's offense is peaking at the the right time, especially with our depth at running back. Dont underestimate Connor SHaw, when you do, you lose. the kid just makes things happen, he gains positive yards, he doesnt turn the ball over and he gets 1st downs.
Home field advantage, time possesion USC offense, and Spurrier- he is a thorn in UGA's side.
