Thanks Whiskey - I wagered on them because when I hear someone say "Bayern", it reminds me of the way Gary Coopper said "Bear" in that timeless family classic "Sergeant York" . . . with a solid handicapping angle like that, bookies beware. . . we are in a "No-" Zone.

Screw Colo Colo - I'm outta here to go celebrate Fat Tuesday . . . Debauchery? Check. Business card with phone number of local bailbondsman in breast pocket? Check. Updated dental records for identification purposes. Hell yeah.

Someguy - BOL - would you mind letting my know your thoughts on Bayern? They seem to be on fire playing at home against a recently underachieving Italy side . . . are you expecting Fior to break out of their funk? I respect your opinion, am curious why you are against Bayern and/or for Fior, and would appreciate your comment.

Locked Card:
Bayern Munich ML (-200) 880 to win 400 Damn, this seems to easy . . . I hate it when games look too good to be true. Hope this isn't one of them and that we don't see a repeat of last Wednesday's fiasco!
Bayern Munich -1 (-120) 480 to win 400
Bayern Munich 1H ML (-110) 110 to win 100
Bayern Munich o/2.5 (-140) 140 to win 100
FC Porto ML (+135) 149 to win 200
NEC ML (-170) 170 to win 100
and last but not least (and a wager to which I will add if the aforementioned picks come through)...
Un Catolica v. Higgins o/3 (+115) 30 to to win 34.50
Thanks to Lutz and Yose for bringing this game to my attention. I absolutely fell in love with the Cat's gameplay last week in their Copa match. I plan on taking a harder look at this game around halftime in the CL matches. On first impression, both teams seem able to put up the points. Will do more research before jumping off into the deep end but as for now, I like the wager.

@tmpeus I'd take Bayern at -500 (well not really, but it seems like they should be favored by that much). Easily the most lopsided tie of the knockout stages, even at -300 I'd take them.

Thanks Tmpeus, Whiskey and Dempsey Not a very creative card and very popular with the public, much like Lady Gaga's camel toes and soap on a rope (tm) . . . we'll see if it holds up!

Howdy Tmpeus - I just checked the two sites I use ... and you are right, it looks like the books shifted from the -1 to a -1.5. I put my wagers in yesterday and added some around 6 a.m. CST today.
Ask the board for a consensus on whether the -1.5 is still a good play . . . I'd say 'yes' but might reduce the wager size accordingly.

Howdy Timmytommy - good to see you back! My response to Tm crossed with your post. I reloaded an old betus account and am so happy to have it along with betez. . . they actually work well together. . . although you will be greatly offended if you compare the lines... I think I saw only one line yesterday on betez that was more favorable than the line offered in another book . .. One.
Changed the avatar to the sexy picture of my recent wedding - gotta love the fact that we incorporated a carnival midway into our nuptials ... and my kickboxer new wife wore a black wedding dress. . . take that, Emily Post. Go screw yourself, Amy Vanderbilt.

LOL Yose - was that not just pure insanity. I loved it when they scored their first goal in the 0' minute. . . and the bicycle goal at the 0' minute was awesome too. I rued the "own goal" that came in the 0' minute also. . . but honestly, the ref made the worst call ever awarding the penalty kick that resulted in the 9th goal in the 0' minute. . . it was extraordinary. . . the game was a work of art.
I actually heard that the Louvre called GolTV after the match and requested all the video footage as they want to catalog it and display it as "The World's Greatest Futbol Match" . . . seems that they have the space now that "David" has issues with his undersized member. What a diva.
