Aston Villa lost 4-3 at home to Southampton just now, they have lost to Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton in a row after a 7-2 win over Liverpool to win their fourth straight game. After losing 5-2 to Spurs in the first round, Southampton have won four and drawn one of their last five matches, including 3-3 Chelsea away from home and 2-0 Everton at home, and Everton have slipped to third place now.
The Premier League is caught in chaos with many dark horses have sprung up.

First time following the Premier League? This is pretty much how it goes every year until teams gain full match fitness and results start to resume normal service.
My advice, I'd wait till everyones played 19 games before drawing any conclusions.

Hi, I can see big difference in this teams like Aston Villa. They can great pretty well against big offensive teams but when they should be the one dictating the game then it's problem. Everton is really not challenge without key players like James and few others that were missing so I wouldn't tell this matches were surprise. Most suprising this week was in my opinion MU vs. Arsenal. Arsenal had tough matches where they couldnt score and MU had great night vs Salcburk where they won 5:0 but it is really important to watch how teams play to be sure to predict results. I'm still trying to figure it out but it's tough and there is new attribute COVID into the game so there are some funny results

nothing "new" to see here. like matt mentioned ()this is pretty much a NORMAL thing. with previous years smaller clubs everywhere tend to "hit the wall" come november when the schedules get crowded and treatment tables get long. (toss Covid into the mix this year and its worse)
my only disagreement with what matt mentioned was not 19 games, (fyi this is the same everywhere else too)
wait till the UCL Group stages get done. then the "big-boys" shift their focus to domestics. we will see the table 'correcting itself' . Im not an EPL-guy, but if im not mistaken, I do believe the EPL has 5 midweek Rounds this year (not including Boxing Day too). and thats a huge advantage with bigger clubs whom have deeper rosters.

i'll buy Leeds stock and hope they can pull something off like Leicester did several years back after being relegated. i think Leeds will be competitive. i like a good underdog story
