Hi all, been looking at the games and it should be a tricky weekend cause of all the transfers and player changes, so hopefully I pick my cards right! I am therefore staying away from the big leagues, usually hard to know what affect the new faces have on the very next day, but I did found some interesting options in the other parts of Europe. 2 plays for me as I do not want to be sitting with a lot of plays when things are quite uncertain in many teams, so I rather watch the first 2-3 games in the bigger leagues so I get an idea of how they are doing after the changes. Find plays below. 1 u on each
Scotland - Premier League Kilmarnock - Ross County: Pick: Kilmarnock @ 2.30
Normally not my kind of bet but I will give it a shot for a unit here. Kilmarnock actually showed some ambitions this window by getting Eremenko, the 30 year old experienced Finland international who has been in clubs like Rubin and Metalist, this should be regarded as a massive transfer in terms of the quality of the player for a team like Kilmarnock, he is creative, experienced and will have a positive influence on this team. The other transfer is a guy I know much about, Moberg-Karlsson. The Swedish striker left Göteborg to play for Sunderland in the Premier League but mostly spent the time on the bench there, so he accomplished a loan move to Kilmarnock who are getting a very pacy striker, quite good technically and tricky. He will want to prove himself in order to return to Sunderland having made a good impression in Scotland, so I see good chances of Kilmarnock getting the best out of him as he is young and eager. Ross County have not brought in any names even similar to those, due to finances obviously. They are the worst road team in the league, with 1-3-7 on the road despite having a draw and a win in their previous two road games. However, quality should now be on the hosts Kilmarnock - If these signings can't get them going, then what ever will? These guys could be decent rotation players in a Celtic team to be honest, even if they don't bring their A game tomorrow, they will be good enough to provide in a positive way. I am trying the home win here with a unit _______________________________________________________
Turkey - Super Lig Antalyaspor - Gaziantepspor: Pick: Antalyaspor @ 2.21
Another unit is worth risking here as Antalyaspor enjoyed a positive transfer window bringing in some quality players in order to impress the home fans right away possibly, I will take those chances because the names are impressive for a club like Antalyaspors standards. With Enoh arriving from Ajax, and Assiati from Terek in the Russian league, along with Senturk from Fenerbache and Kacar from Trabzonspor, it shows the effort they have been trying to strenghten with by bringing in players from top teams in Turkey domestically and also been getting some bargains from Ajax and Terek. No doubt, they are good enforcements, but you could perhaps question their team chemistry. However, first impressions are important, and after spending this much - failure would not be accepted - especially not versus an below average side like Gaziantepspor. The visitors are only 2-0-6 on the road which makes them poor travelers, while they are off to play Antalyaspor who are 2-3-3 at home (which does not sound that good) but with the new faces in the team, I feel they should be able to raise their confidence, not just within the squad, but the supporters should be excited to see what their team can do now. Vital points are to be won here by Antalya in order to escape the relegation danger zone. A victory here means that they would surpass Gaziantepspor in the standings as well. I find it relevant to back a home victory here.

Malta - BOV Premier League Birkirkara - Valletta: Pick: Valletta @ 2.50
The derby of Malta, biggest match we get to watch on the island between the two major clubs. As a foreigner living here myself, working in the sports industry, you can feel the buzz around the game already. Odds started at 3.00 for Valletta, but dropped to around 2.50 today. Why did the odds drop? Well, let me tell you the inside information here:
Valletta FC is now backed up by Merab Jordania, a wealthy businessman from Georgia (the country) who have major plans with Valletta as he aims to get them to Champions League in the near future, and he is also the one who has been backing Vitesse in the Dutch league with tons of money so they could battle for the title, and he has already started to invest big in his newly 'bought' club here in Malta, mostly players from his own country Georgia. National team and former Anzhi goalkeeper Nukri Revishvili signed for the club, making him a massive signing for the Maltese league, this guy has tons of experience and was playing for Anzhi when they were at their best. Moreover, Irakli Maisuradze signed for the club - a skillful midfielder who came from Dila Gori (my favorite bet in the Europa League as they always came up with surprising results). He is also a classy signing for this level, and striker Abayomi Seun (Nigerian striker who holds a Georgian passport) signed as well, having played in the Ukrainian league for Volyn Lutysk, a mid table team in Ukraine. Another striker was also brought in - Alan Da Silva Souza, from Brazil, who played in Ukraine as well. What Valletta are doing here is to bring in foreigners with international experience from big leagues, and they don't have many domestic players in the starting lineup anymore to be honest (because Maltese players are low quality if you aim for Champions League in the future).
Money is surely a factor. Valletta has turned into Malta's equivalent to Manchester City. Undoubtedly, they have the best squad now player by player. Moreover, they acquired new staff, a Dutch coach. They currently sit 6 points behind rivals Birkirkara, and this is a change for them to make it a 3 point chase instead, under the new management and the huge investments, anything but a victory tomorrow would be considered a blunder/disaster with these resources. Odds may drop further, that is why I go 4 units on 2.50 as I find them good enough.

Valletta strikes first 0-1 by Fenech, important goal in the big derby. Raining heavily here right now
Thank you for that writeup, whether it wins or loses, that is the type of information that is so valuable to bettors. I tailed you small on this one and would be very pleased if you cash on this bet of course. Keep those Malta picks coming.

Thanks mate, looking good so far, Valletta having more of the ball but difficult weather conditions may see this game more low scoring, so it is important to remain solid defensively, but offensively we are looking good with the new boys, the millionare's investment are showing good first impressions so far. Glad you tailed a small amount, hope it wins for us. I am 'big' on it for being myself, so would be a welcomed one

Valletta 1-2 victory in a rainy Malta derby, I bet the new management will be pleased - and so am I. I usually don't bet 4 units unless I really find something exceptional, and these odds were too good. Congrats Kaiser btw! :) Total 2014 8-1-7 (+4.86 units)
