Big Ben is not playing and the only way Pitt increase their seed is if San Diego loses to Oakland, not likely to happen. I think Pitt may have a hard time with Troy Smith only because their is limited film on him and rookies usually tend to do surprisingly well when they play their first couple of games because of the lack of film. It is not a strong play for me here, but I like the Ravens to win in front of the home crowd as a seaon finale...and Pitt thinking ahead for the play-offs. Bigdaddy...I would like to see what you think, please add if you have time...

Like the previous poster said it is highly unlikely Pitt gets a 3rd seed so do not factor that into your decision here, not at all. That said Pitt iss till worth a look for a small 1-3 unit play. Bal;timore is old and soft and Pitt will bring it, they enjoy beationg the Ravens. Always a tough game but Pitt usually has the edeg physically and on the ground, they are 8-7 so far this decade against Baltimore. Turnovers and run defense are the key in these games Batch is the best backup in the game. Hes been there for years and has a great record, bailing them out several critical times, including the year the Steelers win teh Super Bowl. They won the two games he started against Green Bay and Cleveland. That won;t be as big a drop off as some people might think at QB. So pointr being I dont see turnovers any more of a concern than usual. Run defense is a doifferent story. Steelers always stuff the Ravens, and everyone for that matter for years. Until the last 3 weeks. Suddenly they look pretty poor stopping the run, or trying to. I have followed the Steelers for decades, since well before their first of the five titles, so there is a bit of a homer factor here to keep in mind. I rarely play anything Week 17, it is real dumb actually, like betting week 1 - might as well flip a coin, there is just no way to predict anything with so many meaningless games and bogus rosters. Proceed with caution everyone.

gla and out.
Sorry my friend I'm not touching this one. I have some stats and trends that points in favor of the Steelers but that goes out the window with Big Ben & Parker out for this one.
Hard one to choose it basically comes down to who wants it more....
1) A Steelers team that is already in the playoffs but fighting for the 3rd spot? They are already in the playoffs are they willing to risk further injury for the 3rd spot?
2) Ravens have been on a downfall and are in for some changes in the off season. Ray Lewis and Co. has too much pride to lose their last game esp at home but do they have enough fire power on offense to beat the Steelers.
Hard on for me bro but good luck on whomever you choose

I am leaning toward Pitt here at the half -2.5. Charlie Batch is not exactly Charlie Tuna -- he can get it done v. a hurting Ravens team. Also Davenport is capable in backing up Parker. Only thing is, will they rest Najeh since he is their only strong back at this point?
What gives me pause is Troy Smith - he is a wildcard here and I would not be shocked to see him do well and make all the Ravens fans wonder why Billick waited so long to play him. Since the Ravens are at home in the end it will probably be a no play for me.

how can people play on baltimore?!?!?!?! ok, charlie batch is starting but no one is playing for the ravens. troy smith starting, no magahee, todd heap, no cornerbacks, no ray lewis.. come on now.. they just lost to miami.. no ben or not, pitt wins and covers

Last year, the Ravens crushed the Steelers in both meetings.... Steelers still remember that and return the favor this year! Even with Batch as the starter. Steelers by 13

sorry teabag, fun to be had while talking picks (with a name like teabag, you're giving me siht about being mature)
Pitt to walk over depleted, depressed Baltimore.
Don't worry about that jack ass I personally call him DOUCHBAG which is fitting for his personality. He shows up on occasion mostly talking about how he bets tons of money a has massive winnings then proceeds to (try) and hurl a few insults before he crawls back under his rock. You can go to his space and look at some of his past threads to see what a HUGE liar and asshole he is last time I saw him post he insulted a number of people while informing us that he and his VP were taking a business jet to a luxury box while wagering thousands just a small bet for entertainment purpose of course bla bla bla bla bla YAWN Most people in here can have fun as well as talk about games he is just a turd
