These are always hard fought backyard brawls that have low scores. And Philly just kills in New Jersey ats.
However, the Nets are 7-2 s/u against them at home, and they have not played this year. however, it doesn't take a whole day to see that the Sixers had a lot of troubles at the beginning of this year when they faced teams for the first time. And New Jersey is getting a point to begin with. Gotta take it. Philly is never favored in New Jersey.
Who got traded from New Jersey or Philly? Korver..Kidd. Whatever. Devin Harris shoots the ball better than Kidd ever dreamed of. the assists are spread all over the place, as the assist numbers didn't dip with Kidd's depature.
The more the youngsters played against certain teams they got better once they understood their movements. but they haven't faced New Jersey this year, and a lot of the same players are there that helped both sides come to the s/u record that they have in games played at the Izod Center.
New Jersey has knocked off Utah, Indiana, and Atlanta and covered against the Suns (Yay!) on the way to going 4-1 ats at home recently. For the most part this has been a home team takes all series.

I agree with the Nets covering the spread tonight, they actually played last week and Jersey, who is bad on the road, almost beat Philadelphia in Philly, Ive seen both these teams play in the past week and Jersey actually looks like the better team, add to the fact that they are a competitive team at home

Stylistic - Let me say that I have been following your picks for a while, considering I was a big fan of Cockknocker, and I have noticed how hot you have been, the last week especially... Cashed big on Jazz/Raptors yesterday, Golden State/Minnesota on Sunday, Detroit/NJ on Saturday... all thanks to your picks & write ups... Don't listen to anybody else, you are doing a great job and it is much appreciated.

Upset because I have a proven winner living right here in my home sleeping next to me every night. True, I get a LOT of input from my hubby and the PC Boys (who are at my house almost 3 times a week making noise at midnight and beyond, but they are successful, so i allow it.) Why wouldn't I lsten to them. I'm making a mint in money.
goinggone, maybe you should tell your wife to get involved and start making some of that money, if you have one. But given some of your picks, evidently you might not be able to afford one. You certainly can't afford me. I'm too expensive for your lint lined pockets.
My hubby told me about you already and how you were disgraced on the forum when put to the test. As well as making off the cuff remarks, bitter about your status as an inferior handicapper. But I'll just take it in stride, and let you do the talking while I make the money. No since in wasting any breath on a loser like yourself. Your record is awful. Hope that you don't have any children to feed. Looks like you will need to take out a loan to keep wagering soon. going gone

I don't like totals that much, but in this matchup given the fact that it is a playoff atmosphere, I would lean more towards the under in this game. Philly likes to run and the Nets don't. But being that this game is played at the Izod Center, and the Nets will get all of the calls- they will dictate the pace. Try the under if you must take a total.

Do me a favor and go to goingone's covers space and look at the comments that he is making about me, insinuating that i am my husband, along with fish naked, and then you will see what they are really about. What's so hard for me to understand is where do they get off with the idea that i am Cocknocker, when i look at him everday and it's certainly not my reflection that i see when i do. That in itself is a joke. I mean, where is this coming from? Why so much bad wasted energy? Why aren't they banned for bashing me?
This is the last comment that i will make on the subject, wasabitobiko.

Stylistic - your insight is off the hinges. Great reads and yes I agree about the totals - hate playing them because the pace of the game depends on so many other variables.
Anyways I agree with what you said. Everyone thinks the Sixers are gonna come in and tear down the place. I think the Nets are still playing hard and they have a great lineup - there is not much dropoff with Devin Harris replacing Kidd.
Today I see a tight game and I think the home team comes out ahead, a little vengeance for the last loss at Philly.

The king of insults, admit that you are CK. Everyone knows that you are.

Sixers vs. Nets over 202.5 (1 unit) - both teams play each other tight so this will be a close battle. The Nets have been putting up a lot of points lately, and the Sixers are still playing hot basketball. I have no reason to think otherwise that these teams can easily score over 200 points. Philly has turned into an up-tempo team, and New Jersey rarely plays defense.

I'm behind the Nets on this one. Enjoyed the game against the Suns---Vince Carter was showing some rare passion and emotion in that game. This should be a close one but with NJN playoff aspirations on the line here, particularly with Atlanta surging, I like them to come up with the win tonight at home and stave off elimination (for now). Also, a side note----just 10 days ago or so Carter and Jefferson combined for 13 or 40 shooting and the Nets lost by a meager 4 points. I don't see a repeat occurrance on their home court.
Riding the Nets and Nuggets big.
Nets SU +110
Nuggets SU -260
Other plays include New Orleans Hornets -2, King Felix and the Mariners at -200.
