The Carolina loss was tough. Cleaned up on the NYI with many plays including +ML, NYI in 1st period, NYI in Reg and I wish I had a reverse PL for em but did not know where to look for one, hit 3 parlays (two 5 plays and one 2 play) with o/u's and +PL's and +ML's and a flip included as a back up on one. LA-ML w/over was a joy as the nightcap. These numbers are not included here... too much work. Totals listed here are for Puck Plays at 100 per play = 1 unit per play.

The recovery for this period is doing well. Still a positive for entire season however numbers are not available for entire season.
All the teams that started as dogs yesterday either won(4 teams) OR lost by only one goal (4 teams). o/u's went 4-4 also yesterday.

Interesting quote of the day from Captain Adam Foote on the Avalanche skid... "This has been a team where we've been a nice surprise all year. No one's had a lot to talk about. There's not been a lot of pressure put on us. We're going to have to go back to work and support each other and get it done. It's going to be interesting to see how we react to this."
Wow... I'm inspired...
...not.
Sound like a set up for the next quote which will be... We overachieved anyway so missing the playoff is tough but we had a good season, better than expected.

Hopefully, write ups will follow...
Puck Plays - 04/02/2010
My Thoughts... I am concerned that the NYR line has moved from -110 each to now TB is a home dog. I have a plan for the NYR but this makes me nervous... Again I have concerns going against MIN who is a small home dog vs the Sharrrrrrks...
I played the SJS last time in MIN and won despite SJ being in the 6th game of a road trip in which they lost ALL the previous 5 games...... Why do the Oilers have SIX goalies listed in the Match Up report here on Covers??? Anyway, EDM is 0-8 on the road since the break but 4-1 at home. L-2 road losses were by ONE goal. EDM won last time in DAL by a 3-2(SO) on 12/05/2009. DAL is only 3-6 at home since the break w/a win vs slumpin Sens and two blowouts of Da Sharkies...... NJ fighting for a division is playing its game in hand on the Pens and is 1 pt behind them with NJ at home vs a CHI team that is mired in mediocrity right now to say the least...... Habs+126 w/Halak at PHI-137 w/Boucher is a battle to the death for a playoff spot edge, hmmmm Halak vs Boucher, gimmie Halak...... CAL at COL another game for a playoff spot edge, Cal has been playing better and COL has not, hmmmm, gimmie CAL...... Nucks at Ducks in Pucks. With ANA going nowhere in April this is a game to draw support for next seasons ticket sales, hmmmm gimmie Ducks.
There you have it in a nutshell... All leans for now unless I get some breaking news or find some alarming stats or injury reports. Looks like these are 90% leans as usual. If no further post by me consider these as the FINAL selections I will play. Still looking to see how the lines might change. Gonna lock in a few small parlays soon w/these and will take some oppo with +1.5.
Final thought... I wonder how BIG a favorite the Wings will be in Philly on Sunday 04/04/2010...? DET has NAS at home on Saturday first. It will be interesting to see that line.

Zambone, Kaz, MoHawk, Champ, BoneHam, ToRonJoe, T9, USfrigginC, OL96, Mangro... Thanks for poppin in and as always Good Luck To All (especially if we have the same picks)
Mangro... Sometimes I remember to do this and sometimes I forget...OK, most of the time I forget... This means that they are either a dog (+) or fav (-) depending on when that particular post was made. Hope this clears it up for you.
I want to explain that I've had a plan for awhile now that puts the NYR INTO the playoffs and puts the Flyers OUT. For this plan to happen, it behooves me to side with the NYR's and against the Flyers. I am letting you know in case you are wondering why I have been going these ways with NO change recently. I am banking that it will all come down to those final two games which are the L-2 games of the regular season for both teams. As a Flyers fan, I 'd rather they miss the post season than get extremely embarrassed on National TV getting thier butts handed to them with potential scores in double digits. Had Backlund been healthy, I think we would have had a shot, however at this time we have the depth in goal of a very sad minor league team. This is my opinion and by no means says I am not a Flyers fan... Just realistic that's all.
My guesstimate scores for tonight are as follows...
CHI-2 at NJD-3
MON-3 at PHI-2
NYR-4 at TB-3
SJ-4 at MIN-2
EDM-3 DAL-2
CAL-2 at COL-1
VAN-2 at ANA-4
Looks like the under Grand Salami is the way to go for those who wanna play it. GLTA

New Jersey and Anaheim both lose in shoot out... I'd rather NJ did not allow a last minute goal and ANA did not get a last minute goal... shame I can't make that trade. Saturday is gonna be a huge day. I will be attending a 94th Birthday Party for my Wife's Grandmother tomorrow so I will post what I can when I can. Picks will be posted by 1st puck drops guarenteed, most likely by 8am Pacific time. I will most likely miss many of the games but it is an honor to be celebrating with Grand-Ma Marjorie for her 94th.
Since 02/14/2010 NHL ONLY
Totals - Wins-131 Lost-117 for -1538 or -15.38 units
The recovery from the post-olympic debacle is continuing. Slow and steady this week with a few bumps along the way.
