Well, placed my last NHL bet this season. Just tired of losing any gains I make in the NFL to the NHL. I love hockey, but wagering on it is a bitch. I've tried so many angles (capping, trends, flipping a damn quarter!), but that high-ass juice and parity is too much to overcome for me. I'd say Vegas has the percentages just right in this league and the lack of a true point-spread doesn't allow for much advantage.

I've been on a tough skid too lately but 25-18 overall. You can easily make money on the season if you stay controlled. My biggest downfall is when I put any money on the NFL so we are quite opposites. How about I cap hockey, you cap NFL and we both crush the books!! BOL!
My leans today: Ottawa Colorado Over 5.5 SJ/Edm Montreal

Good points guys, and yes I've had a bad couple of weeks culminating with a parlay yesterday wherein I took NSH/MIN U6.5 and TB TT O2.5 and the opposite happened in both cases. Two low scoring teams get 7 and a scoring machine like TB, even in WAS, gets shutout
Mr_bollox is right, I'll take some time off and jump back in...probably tonight
And realcapper, I wish I had discipline, but I tend to bet every game because I get my own enjoyment from looking at every game (especially when I am bored at work). Of course going 3-10 like I did Wed takes a bit of that joy away.
I can see where playing the favorite would lead to a better record, but paying an average juice of -130 for a favorite seems like a break-even strategy. I played all dogs on Wed since Favs are winning at a 55% rate and 45% on plus juice might work, but that ship hit a nasty iceberg and I didn't even get to sleep with Rose!
Yeah, I agree there is a way to win in the NHL, I guess I need to just shut up and find it.

Wagering on any sport is tough NHLfan. I've taken beats in NFL NBA like there's no tomorrow. You have to understand the sport in which you choose to wager on. Follow some very good cappers in here and you'll turn your fortune around.
